One thing that has kept me feeling happy tonight is just this simple photograph I took around last year when I went on a family picnic to Kings Park.
I was looking through my draw this morning and found the bundle of photos that I printed out ages ago. My mum didn't like some of them; saying that the sort of photos I had printed did not have the person facing the camera or were random shots and wasted money. Although, I do admit that perhaps one or two were kind of random.. but this one in particular was probably one of my favourite shots that day. :)
I haven't explained it to my mum, or anyone for that matter, about my attachment to this little photo. I really like it because if you look closely enough you would be able to see several of my relatives and what they were doing on the bridge at the time. :D
For example, my uncle visiting from America (wearing a white top) can be seen looking at the little information stand. And, you can also see one of my cousins giving the other cousin her camera to help take a picture of herself with her husband (they are in the very middle of the photo). There are more. :)
It's little things like this that makes one happy, right?
I also feel that it has already relieved some of my stress.. hmm..
I remember reading something
Frank Chimero has said about his work space a long time ago and realised too late that I should've also personalised my own area too.. I could improve my mood, become inspired when I need it, and I could just look up and be motivated as well.
So, I should surround myself with more things that make me happy. :)
Here's to the first step to a happy (not as stressful) nights of finishing my work or studies in uni!
