Empire Toys
I found out about this store one morning when I was contemplating whether to go to the city and have sushi for lunch or go to the local shops. Then I remembered that I wanted to find more stores that sold manga and wondered if there were even shops that sold the ones I wanted so I googled around. I somehow found this store called 'Empire Toys' from which the reviews said that they had a lot of toys and collectables and they were pricey too. I decided to check it out and... my god THERE WERE SO MANY MANGA AND THEY HAD SOME BL TOO OMG :D I couldn't believe it! All these years it never crossed my mind to do a little research for stores with manga because I thought that Perth had so little ever since Borders had closed down. All other bookstores I've been to didn't have enough manga. ;w;
Now that I've found Empire Toys, I will probably be able to buy some. I looked for DMP, SuBLime, and June on the spines because I knew they were BL publishers hehee. There were so many books but they were pretty expensive! Most were at $24-19. They even had a table with books on sale but none of them had the first volume and I didn't feel like buying ones I haven't read even though they were about $8 each.
Maybe next year, when I go to Supanova, I'll find ones that I can buy at $10 each. The entrance fee was $30, which was not that great. I bought three books: Oresama Teacher Vol 5, OHSHC Vol, and Bride of the Water God Vol 1. I've always been meaning to read Bride of the Water God because the art was very beautiful. I think I am one who judges a book by it's cover haha.
