Last Day Of School

It was pretty sudden but today was indeed my last day of school. By 'sudden', I meant that our farewell assembly (tomorrow) had been cancelled. We were supposed to have that assembly, and then afterwards, have morning tea provided by the staff and then leave the school at recess time. However, because of some silly people in our year, all of that planning and a day filled with good memories has gone out of the bin.



Today, I went to school late and missed form. I was very confused and didn't realise what had been going on in the school. I did notice that the whole canteen area was so wet for some reason, but I overlooked that thought and just assumed that the heavy rain was at fault. LOL Raining so much that it was enough to flood the canteen... and the whole place smelt like fish..

As I found out through all the gossip, it was Muck Up Day. Last night, a couple of students had came into the school and covered the whole canteen area with rotten eggs (that's where the fish smell was from), the toilets had toilet paper thrown everywhere, graffiti was in random places, tiles from the roofs were thrown down, and worst of all, they had taken a fire extinguisher and sprayed it everywhere. They covered the whole floor of the canteen, covered the entire uniform shop with new uniforms, and they also found a fire extinguisher in the pool in the layer of the white foam. These people had gone too far.

I was so close to tears when the principle told us all about the damage that had been done to the school (like $5,000 worth of damage). She was finding it hard to hold back her tears. You can tell from her shaky voice towards the end of the meeting. Our year coordinator was crying so much that her face went red and I had to look the other way because if I had saw her face any longer, my tears would've started pouring out like there was no tomorrow.

So depressing. :(
